The Blair Witch Project meets Midsommar in this creepy Swedish mystery.
In the 1950s, nearly all of the residents of the Swedish mining town of Silvertjarn vanished without a trace. The only remaining people were a newborn baby and the body of a woman found in the town center. Now, documentary filmmaker Alice and her crew have returned to the lost village to investigate the incident and more specifically the disappearance of Alice’s grandmother that fateful night.
As the crew and Alice settle in, strange things start happening, making them wonder how vacant the town actually is. This creepy, atmospheric horror-tinged crime story is superbly done, and hope that you enjoy it as much as I did. - McKenna

Bonus Recommendation:
One of my all-time favorite creepy mysteries, this thriller stars Amanda, an architect who slowly begins to believe that she is possessed. But is she??? It’s so, so good! - McKenna

Bonus Recommendation:
Riley Sager’s psychological suspense novels are quickly becoming crime/horror classics. This one might be the closest to our April pick, but you can’t go wrong with any of his thrillers!
