Kathryn Miles in conversation with Ellen McGarrahan - Virtual Event

Kathryn Miles is the author of five books Her essays and articles have appeared in publications such as AudubonBest American EssaysBest American Sports Writing, the Boston Globe, the New York TimesOutsidePolitico, and Time. A contributing editor at Down East magazine, Miles also serves as a scholar-in-residence for the Maine Humanities Council and as a faculty member in several MFA programs. Ellen McGarrahan earned a degree in history from Yale and worked as an investigative reporter at newspapers in New York City, Boston, Miami and San Francisco before accidentally finding her calling as a private detective. For two decades her investigations agency has specialized in complex civil and criminal cases ranging from corporate whistleblowing to capital murder. 

Her first book, Two Truths and a Lie - A Murder, A Private Investigator, and Her Search for Justice, was published by Random House in February 2021. Two Truths and a Lie was named a New York Times Book Review Editor’s Choice and was a finalist in the Best Fact Crime category of the 2022 Edgar Awards, from the Mystery Writers of America.
